terms that will make procedures of import and export easier

FOB - Free on Board (port of shipment)  is a term in international commercial law specifying at what point respective obligations, costs, and risk involved in the delivery of goods shift from the seller to the buyer under the Incoterms standard published by the International Chamber of Commerce.

FOB is only used in non-containerized sea freight, inland waterway transport or rail transport. As with all Incoterms, FOB does not define the point at which ownership of the goods is transferred.

EXW - Ex Works means that a buyer incurs the risks for bringing the goods to their final destination. Either the seller does not load the goods on collecting vehicles and does not clear them for export, or if the seller does load the goods, he does so at buyer's risk and cost.

If the parties agree that the seller should be responsible for the loading of the goods on departure and to bear the risk and all costs of such loading, this must be made clear by adding explicit wording to this effect in the contract of sale.

EORI number - is a European Union registration and identification number for businesses which undertake the import or export of goods into or out of the EU.

Any business or individual established in the EU (an economic operator) needs to obtain an EORI number from their national customs authority before commencing customs activities in the EU. An economic operator established outside the EU needs to be assigned an EORI number if it intends to lodge a customs declaration, an Entry or an Exit Summary Declaration.

Authorized economic operators in particular need to have an EORI number.EORI numbers can be validated online.

You need to create an account at puesc.mf.gov.pl and fill in the form with all the documents (KRS.CEIDG, NIP, REGON).

CBM - cubic meters used for calculating the volume of cargo, e.g. in the container.

Duty and tax – all dues are calculated and presented with the help of the custom agents that specialize in clearance of goods outside of EU.

The base for tax is the custom value with the duty added. In the case of excise also the excise tax is added.

Duty is collected by the office of the country of import. Its sum is related to custom value, place of origin and classification rate. It is composed of the value of insurance, the price of transport, and the value of the invoice.

After the clearance duty is paid by the custom agency that is responsible for it, and then the agent issues a note for the client importing goods. The goods are released after the clearance and when the payment is done.

Export license - document issued by the ministry of commerce that enables you to export goods from China to the destination country. This document can be in the ownership of the loading companies, however there are situations when the licence is sublet to forwarding agents that organize the transport.

The lack of the license disqualifies importers the procedure of transport.
